It suits a short visit, where an undecided morning can eat a quarter of what you came for. It does not suit anybody who wants to stay a second night on a whim.
The price of it is real and the office states it plainly. A missed hour is a missed day, water and weather can stop a boat, and there is nobody to argue with when a counter closes. If that reads as intolerable, the other three steps leave the week open, pin one hour only, or spread posted hours across it, and a reader who wants one of those is not asking for less than this.
