How the few details in a booking request are held, used and passed on
The form asks for a name, a way of replying and what you want; nothing else on this site collects anything about anybody, at any moment.
Nothing here is reserved until the office has written back and you have agreed to what it wrote, and no reservation is ever paid for on this site.
Everything the form asks for
The request form has room for a name, an email address, a telephone number if you feel like giving one, which entries on the list interest you, a rough month, and a box for anything you want to add. That is the whole form. It asks for no postal address, no date of birth, no card number, no document number and no password, and there is no account to make.
What you write lands in a mailbox that this office reads, sits there while it is being answered, and stays attached to your thread so that nobody has to ask you the same thing twice. It is merged with nothing bought from anywhere, because nothing is bought from anywhere. The machine serving these pages keeps the ordinary record of requests that any web server keeps, and that record is not tied to your message.
Nothing runs behind these pages
This site executes no code in your browser. There is no measurement, no counter, no pixel and no tag of any kind. It sets no cookie of its own. It pulls no typeface, image, stylesheet or video from anywhere else, so no other machine learns that you were here. Every file that makes up the page you are reading comes from this address and from nowhere but this address.
One consequence is that you are asked to agree to nothing on arrival, because there is nothing to agree to. Another is that you can test the claim yourself in about a minute: open the network panel of your browser, load any page here, and count the requests that leave for another host. There are none. That is unusual on the modern web and it is the plain truth about this corner of it.
Where your name goes once you agree
Arranging anything means telling somebody your name. When you accept a quote, this office passes each company only what that company needs to do its part: the name that should appear on its paperwork, the dates it is responsible for, how many of you there are, and any note that affects a room or a vehicle. A driver learns your arrival time and never learns your email address.
Nothing is sold, rented, swapped or handed to anybody who is not performing part of your trip. There is no mailing list to join and therefore none to leave. If a company asks for something unexpected, the office asks you first and tells you why it wants it, and you are free to refuse and have the office look elsewhere instead.
For how many months a note survives here
A request that leads nowhere is deleted once the month it concerned has gone by. A quote you decided against goes the same way at the same time. Nothing is held back on the theory that you might return one day, and nothing is filed somewhere quiet in the hope that it becomes useful to somebody later on.
Correspondence about a trip that actually ran is kept while a complaint or a question about the accounts could still reasonably arrive, and the accounting records themselves stand for the period tax rules require of any small company. After that they are deleted as well. Nothing is archived forever here, on the simple ground that this office has no use for it.
Asking to see it, or asking for it to go
Write to privacy@farevacation.com from the address you used, say which of the two you want, and you will get it. A copy of everything held about you comes back as plain text inside one working day, or you are told plainly that nothing is held. There is no form to complete, no queue to enter and nothing to pay for the trouble.
Deletion works the same way and takes effect at once, with two honest exceptions: while a trip is under way the office needs the thread in order to run it, and accounting records must stand for their statutory period. You are told which of those applies to you, if either does, and everything falling outside them goes immediately rather than eventually.
If this site is ever advertised
At the moment you are reading this, nothing measures anything on these pages, no campaign runs for them, and no counting code sits in the files that make them up. Nobody paid to put this office in front of you, and nothing here is watching to see whether such a thing worked. The pages look the same to everybody who opens them, from every place.
Should that ever change, the counting would sit at the advertising end and not inside these pages, and this page would be rewritten to say exactly what is counted and by whom before a single visit was ever counted. The order matters and it is deliberate: the description arrives first, and the practice follows it rather than catching up later.
Reserve a month rather than a date
Tell the office which month you have in mind and it will answer with what that month makes possible and what it shuts.
